King Electric was established by Norman (Tony) King in 1986. In the early days, the company was a two-man operation working out of a single service truck. Tony would perform electrical work during normal business hours, and at night, he would bid on future electrical jobs. Today, you’d call this hustle. Tony just called it hard work, and he didn’t know another way.
King Electric has grown into a second-generation electrical contracting company with four service trucks and a talented seven-person crew. Our trucks are stocked with enough tools and parts so that each member of the King Electric team can complete a wide variety of jobs without having to return to an electrical supplier. Does this make our job a little easier? Sure. But more importantly, it saves our clients time, money, and hassle.
King Electric’s service area has grown significantly since the company was first established. While our main office is located in the North Hills area, we’re no stranger to bridges and tunnels. From Cranberry Township to South Park, from Monroeville to Robinson—and everywhere in between—we have proudly served over 10,000 clients during the past 25 years.
Our experienced electricians are based in numerous locations in and around Pittsburgh. This helps reduce our travel time to a particular job, allowing us to work faster and more cost efficiently on a wider range of projects.
Whatever part of Pittsburgh you’re located in, don’t hesitate to contact us with questions about your electrical needs and our availability. And if you’re hesitant to make the first move, read what our clients have to say first.
